🎬 Opening today at Forum des Images: ‘La Quinzaine en Salle’ showcases the full Directors’ Fortnight (Quinzaine des Cinéastes) programme from this year’s Festival de Cannes – with filmmakers in attendance!
🎨 At Hauser Wirth Paris, Rita Ackermann debuts her first solo show with the gallery, presenting new paintings and large works on paper exploring the theme of the double, inspired by French icons Jean-Luc Godard and Paul Virilio. Opens Wednesday.
🎯 Chronicling amateur artists and collectors, Profane, our favourite indie mag, marks issue #20 with ‘Tous Profane – Une Galerie,’ a pop-up exhibition curated by @graziella_semerciyan_gallery, plus performances and installations - Thu-Sat
🌳 On Thursday, La Folie Barbizon reopens after a refresh. This bohemian hotel and artist residency, located in the heart of pre-Impressionist Barbizon and near Fontainebleau forest, remains dedicated to sustainability and creativity as an antidote to today’s world.
📸 From Friday, don’t miss the Wolfgang Tillmans retrospective at the Centre Pompidou . This final show, before the museum’s 5-year renovation, takes over the entire Level 2 of the Bpi, dialoguing over 35 years of artistic practice with the library space. Don’t miss it!
📚 And on Saturday, Magnum Photos hosts a huge Braderie warehouse sale at 68 Rue Léon Frot (75011) – hundreds of photobooks, signed and rare editions, posters, contact sheet prints, stationery, and more, all at bargain prices!
