☎️ Fashion Week fever & Dial-a-Poem revival! A Week in Paris
A new week, a fresh edit of what to see, do and love in Paris (and the Saint-Ouen Flea Market). Celebrating Paris makers and the strange, new, true & beautiful, forever!

💥 An historic Paris Fashion Week kicked off on Monday! The Spring-Summer 2026 prêt-à-porter collections are marked by an unprecedented wave of creative debuts at top houses: Jonathan Anderson and Matthieu Blazy present their first women’s collections for Dior and Chanel, respectively, while the spotlight also shines on Balenciaga, Celine, Loewe, Mugler, Carven, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Glenn Martens, unveiling his first ready-to-wear collection for Maison Margiela on Saturday.
🍾 L’Adjugé – the café-bar inside the historic Drouot Paris auction house – re-opened yesterday after a facelift. Everything here oozes quality and attention to detail. The short menu celebrates simple French bites, and prices stay refreshingly reasonable: celebrate a winning bid with a bottle of Champagne Heucq for just 45€!
☎️ John Giorno’s seminal Dial-a-Poem has been reactivated in France again! Call 09 73 72 32 77 to hear a selection of recordings by 31 poets and artists reading poems in French.
🥬 Photographer, author, and chef Carrie Solomon opens her own place at last, Chez Carrie, an all-day restaurant and wine bar. Meanwhile, other expat Paris foodies Mokonuts Bakery release their first cookbook with Phaidon Press.
📚 The interior of American artist Cindy Sherman’s Paris pied-à-terre goes up for auction on Thursday at Piasa Auction. How fun to see that Lot 217 – a set of 13 books – includes a copy of The Paris Flea Market, alongside Rick Owens furniture (Rizzoli) and Jean Royère (Norma Éditions).
🛍️ Both the name of a boutique and the alter-ego of its owner, Cyril Duval, Item Idem is a cabinet of obsessions where the high meets the low, the original the copy … a Mount Olympus of pastiche where branding itself becomes artwork. Preview on Friday at 12 rue Bleue!
