Private Buying · Sourcing · Research at the Puces de Saint-Ouen, Paris Flea Market
→Insider access to Paris’s most extraordinary creative marketplace.
More than a flea market, the Puces de Paris Saint-Ouen is one of Paris’s great creative ecosystems, where art, design, craftsmanship, fashion, history and collecting intersect.
Whether sourcing a significant piece, furnishing an entire home, designing a hospitality or retail space, researching a project, or simply discovering the world’s most epic antiques, collectibles and junk market, I help clients navigate this extraordinary place with context, privileged access and an insider’s perspective.

About Me
Australian-born and Paris-based, I am a writer, publisher and creative consultant who has spent more than two decades documenting and celebrating the creative communities, makers and cultural landscape of Paris.
I am the author of Makers Paris (Volumes 1 & 2), The Paris Flea Market (Prestel, 2024) and The Ofr. Paris Cookbook (0fr. Editions, 2026). I am also the founder of mkrs.family and the writer of the Paris, Puces. newsletter on Substack.
Described by the New York Times as “a celebration of the culture, history and oddball treasures of the market,” The Paris Flea Market is a richly illustrated exploration of the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen – its remarkable history and the extraordinary dealers and objects that have made it one of the world’s most fascinating marketplaces. The relationships, research and perspective behind the book now underpin the private buying, sourcing and research visits I offer.

Experiences for Airbnb Originals
You can also join me on a 2.5-hour introductory tour designed exclusively for Airbnb Experiences, as part of the Airbnb Originals selection – “experiences in a class of their own, hosted by the world’s most interesting people”.
“This incredible adventure is one of the best tours I’ve ever taken, and I can’t wait to do it again. The markets themselves will totally blow your mind with the variety and unique nature of every single stall, but having Kate’s expertise to guide you was the cherry on top.” (Lucy, Airbnb)
